✨Celebrating Our 5th Grade Class!✨

 

The Friends of Woodland PTO is thrilled to partner with the Woodland Elementary School Administration and 5th Grade Team to honor our incredible 5th graders as they reach this exciting milestone and prepare to move on to middle school! We’re proud to support special events designed to make their final elementary school memories fun, meaningful, and unforgettable.

 

 

 

 

 

 🎉 5th Grade Spirit Week & Celebrations 🎉 

 

Monday, May 18th – Twin Day

- Students are encouraged to dress as a "twin" with a friend or even a teacher for a fun day of matching outfits and memories.

 

Tuesday, May 19th – Decades Day & 5th Grade Dance 

- Students are encouraged to dress in their favorite decade (50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or 2000s).

- 5th Grade Dance 🎉 (Student-Only Event)

  • A fun-filled first-time event where students can enjoy music, friends, and one last elementary school celebration.
  • Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
  • The following attire is not permitted: short-short clothing, ripped or distressed jeans/pants, tank or crop tops, dresses with spaghetti straps, bare midriffs, Crocs, or see-through apparel.

 

Wednesday, May 20th – Class Color Day & Lunch on the Lawn 

- Students are encouraged to wear their designated class color to show their 5th grade pride.

- Lunch on the Lawn 🌞(Student-Only Event)

  • A special outdoor lunch hosted by the FOW PTO and WES Admin Team where students can relax, celebrate, and enjoy time together.
  • Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
  • (Additional details will be shared soon.)

 

Thursday, May 21st – Dress for Success & Promotion Ceremony 

- Students are encouraged to dress their best as they prepare for promotion.

- Promotion Ceremony 🎓(Family Attended Event)

  • A meaningful ceremony recognizing the accomplishments of our 5th graders as they take their next step toward middle school. Families are welcome to attend.
  • Time: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
    • Parents/Guardians may begin arriving at 8:15 AM. All visitors must sign in upon arrival.
    • Students should arrive at school at their normal time, no later than 7:37 AM, to line up for the processional.
  • Location: Woodland Elementary School Gymnasium
    • Families will enter through the mezzanine area (signage will be posted).
  • The following attire is not permitted: short-short clothing, ripped or distressed jeans/pants, tank or crop tops, dresses with spaghetti straps, bare midriffs, Crocs, or see-through apparel.
  • Please note that seating is limited and cannot be guaranteed for large groups.
  • School-age siblings may not attend or be checked out of school to attend the ceremony.
  • To ensure all guests can enjoy the ceremony, please refrain from bringing balloons, large posters, or oversized signs that may obstruct views.

- Early Release Following the Promotion Ceremony

  • Families wishing to check out their student following the ceremony must complete the early release form (link expires May 11th at 11:45 PM).
  • Students will only be released to individuals listed on both the form and in Infinite Campus.
  • A valid photo ID will be required at pickup.
  • If no form is submitted, students will be dismissed using their normal transportation method.
